Camp Nidaros
Camp Nidaros, established in 1967, is located in Gearhart, Oregon near Seaside. It is for boys and girls ages 9-12 years old. With a beautiful view of the beach, the camp ground contains a main lodge building with four additional sleeping cabins. Camp activities include innovative Norwegian language activities, learning Norwegian songs, dances, hiking on the beach, arts and crafts and putting together a camp newspaper called "Avis." Campers also practice Norsk skills by spending Nidaros "kroner" at the kiosk.
